Like all, sympathy and empathy to you. One thing you can count on not happening is a thorough police investigation. For one thing almost none have any ability to analyze a wrecked bike. You should get a competent mechanic to look at the bike. Rear end damage to the wheel, frame, or bodywork will stand out. A good eye can spot if your brakes were on at impact and which ones, what directions are the skid marks on the tires, is the front end broken or bent and were the forks loaded when that happened. Is there paint on it anywhere. Simple questions that won't get answered typically. California police almost always say "No explanation" and/or "excess speed". Looking a a few bikes afterwords, I have the feeling they just don't look. Unfortunately it's also common for the person suffering trauma to not have memory of it. I'm thinking about putting on a front and rear camera and recorder, just in case.

Hang in there and keep your chin up. Recovery is 90% mental, so a positive attitude means a lot. Get some videos or DVDs of things you find amusing and play them until you laugh your ass off. You'll be amazed at the difference it'll make.

Glad to read your posts brother. That means you are on your way back to your old self again. Keep your spirits up and your focus on getting better. I saw you were in a VA hospital. Are you a fellow Veteran of the Armed Forces?
