Air Cleaner Hoses question.. please

on mine, someone has removed all of what is in the red boxed and just plugged the hole coming out of the bottom of the air box? what is all of that and where does it go?

Look up the part numbers and that should tell you.

But, having absolutely no knowledge of zx9's at all, it kinda looks like emissions crap.

yeah, I looked them all up, but still have no clue what they are for or where the other end goes.. even looked in the service manual.

emissions junk. on my 02 i pulled it all out when i did the block off plates.

it is called the vacume control valve.

The hose in the box is simply a drain line with a reservoir in it . You don't have to have it but you could get a little water running into the engine. The hoses the others are talking about go from the airbox up to the cam cover.
