That does look better. I've been wanting to do that to my Two Bros slop on, but I haven't figured out how I'm going to explain it to my Lady when sh asks me what I'm doing .

Just mark where you want to cut, cut it off in the back use a sawz-all with a blade long enough to go through without getting caught inside. I just wrapped it in a blanket held it firm against a vice with both hands not in the vice and my friend cut while I held it. Then I drilled the rivets out that held the end cap on drill all the way through or they still hold, then tap it out. The baffel or screen on the inside is tac welded around the end cap cut off below welds, then knock the small piece that is left inside out with a screw driver, so the other side will go back in. If you have a dremol tool with a cutting wheel you can cut 1 inch off the other end of the baffel on the good side so the end cap can go back in far enough, I didnt have one so I had to drill all the rivets out on the other end found a plastic cap to fit on the end of the baffel and tap it out remove packing it is real tight and stays in shape good cut baffel back 1 inch, put packing right back over baffel line up rivet holes tap the end back in put a couple rivets in then put the end back in tap it into place drill a few holes they dont have to line up on the end its easyer to just drill right through both pieces as many as you want three is fine. Put in rivets and your done! Looks better sounds better!

Looks good I have been wanting to do mine but it is welded no rivets. So it looks like I have to cough up some coin for one to cut up.

Nice job and nice bike!
I cannot find the other guy who posted up a how-to with pics, but his trick was to wrap painters tape around the circumference of the location he was going to cut. That guy's Yoshi shortening procedure and results sounded just like Ryeden's. It takes guts and know-how to do a good job like this though.
