94 ZX9R ram air modification

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, having stumbled upon it while searching for an answer to my question. I am interested in turning my 94 ZX9 into a naked bike, and I'm having issues with the air intake system. When the front fairing is removed, the air intake tubes that run to the middle of the fairing don't seem to get enough air, and the engine seems to stutter and choke as a result of this. Does anyone know of a simple modification that could be done in order to solve this problem? I think I might just need to position the tubes correctly and make sure that the intake area is large enough. Has anyone else come across this situation before? I would appreciate any input.

Hey there.

I was just on another forum zx-9r.net and they were talking about this. They ended up talking about rerouting the balance tube, because the float bowls were being starved.

Good luck

I have a friend with a 92 zx7 wich does not have ram air, he put a 95 zx9 motor in it and to solve the ram air issue he used the zx7 carbs, he said they dropped right in, you can probably find some cheap on ebay
