2000 conversion

hey, I'm new here. Just got a 1995 zx9R and I love it. I need to replace the front fairing and headlight assembly. Is it easy to put a year 2000 and up front fairing and headlight on my 1995? you know, the twin headlight model? I think it looks awesome and if I have to buy new headlight and fairing it may as well be the newer style. is it a simple bolt on affair?

I'm not sure if it will fit!!! I know the 2000+ will bolt right up to 98-99 single headlight, But I don't think it will to a 95 with out a lot of mods.

anyone know for sure if this is the case? I don't want to spend $200+ on a 2000 front cowling that I can't use! anyone know exactly what mods will be needed if any?

i would try and get someone with a 2000 make friend with this person and talk him into hanging out on a weekend and swap fronts for a second to see if it fits, (then ride off with your new front , just kidding don't want you getting shot)

thats a good idea. I will keep an eye out for someone with one. then make friends. Unitl then, anyone know someone that's done it? I'm guessing the hard part is the headlight.
