Micron Delta + Baffle removal

Hello Gang.

Just wondered if anyone has any idea on how to remove the baffle from a Micron Delta + Exhaust.

I have removed the bolt that attaches it at the end of the exhaust (where the fumes come out) but no matter how hard i tug, pry, pull, wiggle the baffle it just wont budge!!

Is there another bolt somewhere that I should know about?

I cant see one anywhere.

At the front and the back of the exhaust, it is sealed with a rubber seal around the exhaust.

Does this come off here or something?

Thanks.

Paul

Hi Paul, had the same trouble with mine!
you have to take out the hex bolt, pull cap off and the baffle is part of the inner tubing,i got a metal saw and cut it off as close to the join as poss.that way it goes back together as tightly, you can then cut off all the joining webs and use a nut and bolt if you want to put it in otherwise i left it out and sounds great, gave me 3-4bhp as well, regards,Mat

Hello Matt.

Thanks for the reply.

Which Hex bolt do you mean mate?

The only bolt i can see goes through the baffle itsself which i have already removed.

Do i actually have to take the exhaust apart to get inside it?

THanks mat.e

Paul

Thumbs up hex bolt

Hi Paul,
sorry the reply took so long, didn't get the email on post replies.
On my micron delta the hex bolt on the exit end cap was removed and after a bit of tapping with a rubber malet it popped off, then just cut and shut as i described, don't know how old yours is but it may be fused together, the micron delta's are designed to be repacked or repaired and there are many replacement kit's on ebay to rebuild the can if you damage something like the rubber seals, quite cheap too, good luck with your can.
regards,Mat
