Oil!?!?

ok i recently gave my bike an oil change and its new so i dont know what was in it before. but i used 20w-50 and now its harder to get the bike started and it picks up heat faster. i live in illinois so its fairly hot here. im only going to run conventional. But what weight of oil do you guys reccomend?

10w-30 Or if you prefer 10w-40...... 20w-50 is way to thick you will sufer power lose because of it and not to mention you'll run hotter because you bike isn't made to move such a thick oil....

It is getting cooler here in IL, so 10w40 would probably be a better choice, but if 20w50 was causing starting issues, you may want to have the battery checked. (load test, not just voltage check). 20w50 shouldn't cause such issues. but, anything is possible.
