I just got it last week and went to Victoriaville Quebec to buy it and drove to back home to Halifax area in Nova Scotia (first time riding a street bike too lol). It is the bike i've wanted for the past year and before that I wanted a ZX7 or VFR 800.
But as of right now theres no other bike that I would like to own more :D
Yes this is my first bike and I realize this is a very mean machine, however I am semi-mature haha (almost 25) with good senses about myself and a strong faith in God so I think i'll be okay. I'm not one to take stupid risks and realize there is a learning curve and think my dirtbiking experience has helped me out a bit as well. I have been planning on geting a sportbike for over 3 years now and IT FEELS AMAZING.
It's got 35k on it and the valves were adjusted at 30k, it's gonna need a new rear tire soon. Does anyone have experience with the Pirelli Diablos ? Or Diablo Corsa III ? I don't know which one to get ! Right now it has the Michelin Pilot Powers.
I'm going to check the air filter soon, I hope its a good aftermarket one and not too dirty, but if its OEM / paper i'm going to order up a K&N filter. Which air filter do you use ?
The front pads are quite worn which I was hesitant to drive home with but they worked just fine and I have a new set of Ferodo Sinter-Grip Road pads coming in the mail.
Has anyone used these pads ?
I would prefer the Kawa green since it just says KAWASAKI ! But i'm starting to grow fond of this color scheme, I like the graphic styling of this generation sportbikes with the decals when do you think they will return to the newer bikes if they ever will ?
Has anyone ever installed or checked out the CCFL Halo Angel Eyes ?
What do ya's think of them and do they project the color or a clear light ?

I also have a stock windshield .. kinda boring, I viewed some black ones but I want to be able to see through it ! ... so I guess i'll have to keep an eye out for a red tinted windshield, which one do you reccommend ?
I know there is a shim mod you can do to the carburation to this model zx9 but as of right now i'm not too concerned about tuning the engine. Maybe later.
Also how tall are you and do you feel the bike is too small or too big, just right ?
I am 6 Ft and only 135 Lbs. ... yeah stickboy lol but I feel good on the bike, can't say that i've tried many others. But one good reason for my zx9r love is the ergonomics.
Has anyone had the suspension calibrated to their weight / height and what difference have you noticed ?
