New ZX9R owner, few ?'s

Just picked up a 01 9R with 10k miles and had some questions.

Bike is stock except for a Micron slip on can. Should the bike be rejetted for this or not? Previous owner installed it, looks and sounds great.

Next thing is the bike makes a ticking noise that gets louder as the revs increase, sounds like valvetrain noise. Is this normal or do they need to be adjusted?

Last thing is the bike will get pretty warm when it sits idling for too long. When temps get to 220 the coolant starts to boil out. The fan kicks on around 224ish and turns back off when the bike cools to 220 again. I plan on gonig through the coolant system, new rad cap, thermostat, coolant temp sensor and flush the system.
As long as there is air flowing through the rad the bike will stay cool. It runs and drives fine always. (I just wish the fans would kick on a little sooner, like around 200)

To my knowledge the bike has never been serviced so I'd like to sync the carbs and adjust the valvetrain. Are there any good links for these procedures?

Thanks!

Greg

FYI: 105c = 221f..

So your fan is kicking in at around the right temp.. =)
