how expensive is mega/microsquirt? where are you doing your machining? are these your tools or what?! good luck!
New direct injection setups where you have an injector directly into the cylinder need that really high psi. Otherwise much lower. A basic throttle body setup like on my chevy is about 13-15 psi. Other more modern setups are all over 30 psi.

ok, so shooting into the throttle body, works the same way as a carb, any advantages then except easier tuning? seems like you'd get the most control of flow with straight shot into cylinders but i'd imagine with the engineers trying to get the most valve area possible, they were willing to settle for throttle body injection...

have any significant changes been done to the 7 so far?

Cool

Actually, if you increase the size of the cylinder, you increase the amount of torque. If you increase the stroke, ie by using/installing a stroker kit, you increase the hp. If you increase the size of the ports, you increase how much air/fuel mixture you are able to cram into the cylinder. But I won't get into my rant about that. How much are you going to spend on this? Will you be able to get that much out of it? Just ask yourself those two simple questions, and you may find yourself performing simpler mods, and getting more power from the bike...

And if your going to pour all that money into having the cylinders sleeves pulled, boring out the cylinders to fit the nine sleeve, and then re-sleeving them, why not just throw the nine into the frame. Less money more power. And if you're really wanting to hold on to your sevens engine, don't mod it because it won't be a 7 any more any way...

do you know the bore of the 9 engine you plan to use? I know that the 9 has a bore of 75.0 mm all the way from 93-2003 when it was removed from kawi's line up, and the 96-2003 7 has a bore of 73.0 mm. For those of you who don't want to do the math, that's 2mm difference. When you're talking engine bore, that is no small distance. The 91-95 ZX7 has an even smaller bore than that, only 71.0mm, for a grand total of 4mm difference... But, I do wish you good luck on your hunt for more power. And even more so if you continue with this mod... very interesting to say the least...

My 1992 ZX750RR K makes around 115hp. Stock big bore, flat sldes, Yosh race exhaust, Dynatek controller, jetted, K&N.
Good luck w/ f.i.

My Zx7 Did 108 Hp And Was Running Lean As Hell! Some Where Around 12 At The Fuel/air Mixture In The Top End. Why Not Just Stroke You 7 And Get A Nitro Setup?
