Fuel pump

Looking for a fuel pump for my 2000 zx7r. Is there a rebuild kit or just throw it in the trash and spend the 150$ for a new one. It was leaking fuel today on the ride home.

Just scour eBay, if the pump looks like yours it will work as Kawasaki used the pump on tons of different bikes.

Got the pump off and it is one of the Mitsubishi fuel pumps. It was leaking at the seal where the pump is put together. If I bypass the pump and just hook it straight to the carbs do I still put a filter in the line?

That would be considered a band-aid fix, probably won't rev very high.

Pumps on eBay are dirt cheap...

Get a new pump. You can't run without one and a used one is likely as your old one to take a shit at any time.

Ok , did the band aid fix. I put about 50 miles on it , and it starts better and it does rev better. I think this will fix it for now. I used the existing hoses and filter to bypass the pump. I really cant tell a difference without the pump. I think it does run better.
Band aid or not I am riding again.

Just to update,
Just installed a new fuel pump and fuel filter. I ordered the pump and filter from http://www.metricpartsoutlet.com . The cost for the pump $129.67 filter $8.83 . I had intended to ride as long as i could without the fuel pump . As I found out when the tank was over half full riding was no problem but when it was half empty it wanted to stall a few times . I know some peeps will say I told you that you need a fuel pump to ride but I think that my 3 weeks of riding says it all . I know that you can shorten the gas line to get a better flow of fuel to the carbs , but i will try that next time. Because now I know I can ride without a fuel pump.
