so the other day i accidentally shifted lazy from first to second and caught neutral

it revved up real good and later i noticed i was stumbing at idle, ruled out a valve tap on the piston by borescoping each cylinder and there were no marks on the piston, only carbon build up

but before that when i was removing the plugs and wires the number 3 wire came out from the boot when i was trying to remove it, after inspecting it there was tapered threads inside the boot so i screwed the boot back onto the wire, and that same spark plug had some corrosion on the outer metal portion of the plug. the electrode was fine, maybe a little bit more carbon build up than the other plugs(not by much). after my inspection of the cylinders and having to remove a harbor freight compression tester fitting from my cylinder head (i hate cheap tools) everything went back together. it fired up great and my idle problem went away for a minute, then after a short ride the idle problem became worse. took it on the highway and when i got off my bike died when i came to a stop. restarted, and going down the road at lower rpm i could feel it misfiring.
so i was wondering if anyone has ever had this problem? and how expensive are plug wires? i have ngk iridium plugs installed that have no electrode wear on them so i dont want to replace them if i dont have to
