I'm no expert but I would bet the difference is negligible.

It's the way it should be -- the muffler inner diameter is larger than the mid-pipe diameter, slipping over the mid-pipe. Looks nice too. Enjoy it. Your work looks good.
I've found the best throttle response on my 9R after a carb sync was performed. And in the nine months since my first one, I've probably sync'ed them another six times. It just makes the whole riding experience feel like a brand new bike.

id say do the same thing with a muzzy header and you should feel a little more grunt. plus the weight savings is a bonus

The rear end is an R6 with custom welded sub-frame. Its the tail, under tail, tire hugger, tail lights, and rear seat. Its painted to match dark purple mica.

With an aftermarket header, will I need to re-jet?

I doubt it.

Thanks. It also shed a lot of weight with the new rear end. I can definitely tell a difference especially in the corners. I thought about customizing the front end with an 05 zx rr.

Really? A stage 1 jet kit wont handle headers and muffler? Im not a hard core rider, but rather I like a smooth power band and response that doesn't suck in gas mileage. If I need to re-jet then I'd probably forget about aftermarket headers.

I wouldn't sweat the 2hp difference that much, our bikes do not have any 'hidden' hp like comparable gsxrs' do- you can spend thousands on exhaust, and cam timing and other trinckets- not much to be found-

That's cool if you don't like the high mount. I like it because it gives the rear end that aggressive "racing" look. When spring hits, I'm actually gonna try to hide a custom muffler inside the bottom fairing and have nothing but a short tail pipe sticking out.

Have you had the bike long enough to get that burning sensation around your ankle- they all do it- I would think that you would melt your lower in about 10 minutes if you try to hide a cannister in/down there- especially if your jetting is off a bit, lots of unspent fuel tends to burn pretty hot right around that area- just a heads up

Yes I have experienced that and as a result I'm planning on lots of heat shield and exhaust wraps. I'll see how it goes. Trial and error.

i was actually thinking of the same mod however the only hard part is going to be clearance from top of rear tire to bottom of piping. still working on it though
originally i thought of converting the rear tail to a 06-07 zx10 and using that exhaust, due to it being undertail and dual outlet (yes it would work) doing so would help at lower rpms, plus i think it would look amazing
