Lol, but the idea is that I don't like the look of the mirrors... I want them gone!

I know but it's cool what they can do with mirrors these days. I'm just into your project whether it's functional or a bling factor, I hope you end up with with the goal you had in mind.

bro, you should just take them off. I have buddies that ride w/ no mirr. also, these bikes tend to have electrical issues. I hope you have an electrical tech background. Get ready!

Thanks EZ

Yep Don, thats the kind of thing I was worried about, but the wiring on the bike isn't to compicated so I'm just gonna find the most solid power wire I can and go from there. Better to try it out then just sit around and talk about all the reasons it won't work.. who ever got anywhere doin that??? And the mirrors are coming off, hence the reason for the camera. I like to see behind me. lol... Prob be ordering some stuff up here in the next week!

I think it's a cool idea, but then I'm kinda a gadget freak myself. It would be even cooler if the camera could be pivoted by a control kinda like they do with mirrors on late model cars. I know that's probably too much, but it would be cool. My main concern I would have would be the visability of the screen in bright daylight.

i dont think visablility will be that much of a problem if mounted under the windscreen. if you mounted it on you triple tree or tank i think it would be alot worse. worse case mess around with the settings of the screen by adjusting darkness and contrast i am sure it wont be a big deal though.

Good point. A tinted windscreen should do a good job of protecting it from the bright sun. And you could always add other shades around it.

I agree with Supra.

If you dont like the mirrors like myself then cap them off. Try a set of low profile bar mirrors... you can check your blind and mirror all in one quick motion... or dont run mirrors at all (which is next season for me)
Your screen name says it all, because running without mirrors is illegal most places. I think if you showed the cop who pulls you over a camera and a screen for a rear view, you might get off without a ticket, but just pulling the mirrors will get you a ticket in a North American second.
