New '90 Ninja 750R (GPX750) owner, some questions

Hello all, new guy to the forum here - on Friday I picked up a '90 GPX750/750R/whatever the hell it's actually called, for $300. It has a few cracked plastic pieces, the carbs seem gummed up, and it's a bit dirty, but it has a title and is complete enough to be well worth the price.

Anyways, the bike has a full Vance & Hines exhaust system, and removing the carbs around the ridiculous plastic airbox assembly was so terribly frustrating that I think I'm going to go with K&N pod filters. Does anyone have any idea what jets I should be looking at to compensate for these mods? I'd really like to get some riding in this season while I still can.

You should have 130 or 134 main jets if you have a stage one jet kit in it.If you do not have a stage one you will need one with the mods you are doing.You can find them on ebay.You need 134 main jets with K&N filter and pipe.You will have to fine tune it from there settings.I had to pull my tank off to tune my carbs 3 times before it would run right.
