New acquisition.

1998 zx7r

Did a "midnight run" to denver on friday at 5am.
Just back to Austin lastnight at 8pm.

Old race bike
Full Muzzy
Suspension reworked by STM in Ft Collins CO (front and rear)

Will keep the vision going of making it an endurance replica so have to do some research to get pics and ideas. And in the hunt for a solo tail or a rear cowl. Not sure yet of course.

Bike is strong and feels way different than my lil stock pig. Hehe
Feels very nimble from the suspension id say.

So will have a good lil project and probably some questions here and there.
All advice and suggestions always welcome.

Joby

Advice: donate it to me :-)
Serious advice: Kawasaki France endurance colours is a possibility IMO.

Doesn't look like it needs anything other than tlc. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It may be a pig, but it's a pig with a rocket in it's ass!

Ya.
Its in fair shape and tlc is whats needed.
The radiator has been repaired before so will build some pressure and see what happens.

I've not seen a fairing like that - it looks very wide and high at the front, and has some moulding around the intakes, any idea who's it is???
And....are those forks wider tracked than standard or is it just the camera angle?

Not sure of what brand it is.
Will measure it against my stock one.

The forks are the stock except for the internals. Camera angle makes it seem different.

I would lean towards saying it was an air tech as well.

Thanks.
Probably get a solo tail from airtech.
Also the have a light for the front fairing that is hi low with the standard plug.
Will need that for inspection here in tx.
Also need to wire that light up as that section of wire harness is gone so no plug . Not a problem.

i just bought an airtech solo tail not too long ago.

Dealing with Walt was really easy, and he seems like a good guy. Im just not overly impressed with the tail, or the fitment. I had also asked that the under tail (purchased at the same time), be left a bit over-sized so I could run Dzus fasteners. This never happened.

Question: why did airtech mould the parking light dimple into the upper - on an endurance fairing, never understood that.

Can you get hold of Ricambi Weiss stuff in the US? I only ask as I have had some seat units and fairings off them and they are good - tough as old boots and fit easily.
