What engines would fit the ZX7 P-model?

Hi expertise panel

I already know about the ZX9 wich fits almost bolt-on, and also the ZX10 that needs a lot of work to get in place.

Are there other brands that could fit without too much rebuilding? Ive read somewhere about both R1 and GSXR1000, but never seen a "build"-post/thread.

I would like to keep my bike looking as original as possible, but with more power. Here in Sweden it is almost impossible to get hands of a ZX9-engine, so thats why im wondering about other brands that may fit with not too much adjustments.

I think you mentioned the 2 popular choices.

I suppose anything is possible and you could fit anything with enough fitting.

Not many on here would put anything but Kawi product in there.

- I really like the sound of this 750-engine, and especially with the Micron Carbo-slipon ive got...but since it is way behind most bikes both when it comes to power and weight, the swap is one way to get some powder out of it.

ZX9-engines are too hard to find and ZX10 is a lot of time and skills to fix...so the last choice is another brand.

Hopefully someone has done it and is willing to share experience.

If noone on this ZX-forum has experience of another brand engine in their ZX7, there is a lot of skilled guys here that maybe could tell what other ways there are to boost the machine a bit without spending the gold reserve and/or having a complete Kawasaki workshop inhouse.
