lowest setting ride height for 7r?

[search] turned up nothing usefull so i guessed itd be safe to start new thread.

seeking to acquire last gen zx7r for my first bike cuz i dont think a 600 can handle all my 260lbs of ["lean muscle"].. but i stand at 5'7'' w/ maybe a 30'' inseam. i read that stock seat height for 97-03 7r is about 32'' but has an adjustable ride height suspension. i wont feel comfortable/safe riding or coming to a stop without both of my feet being planted on the ground. soo question being: what is the seat height on the lowest setting of the shocks/forks? ty in advnce.

Seat height is with out any Rider Wieght, So when you get on it, At the lowest setting it will dropp a good 3-4 inches

so im guessing that leaves about ~2" of clearance? im almost certain that affects handling ability but do i run a chance of bottoming out/blowing the shocks/causing harm to other mechanical components?

thx for quik reply.

Honestly, Not that I know of, Even at the softest setting, I dropped my ZX7 Project bike out of the back of a truck, And It didn't bottom out. So if a 4 foot drop didnt bottom it out, I dont really see why any normal riding conditions would cause a bottom out.

lowering it wont make it softer. You should take the bike to a suspension shop and have them set it up for your weight and height. They will tweak the front and rear suspension for your type of riding too. I prefer a stiffer ride for the twisties myself. I can't stand soft cushy suspension.

Keep in mind that lowering the rear suspension will make the bike turn in slower. Most people look to raise the 7R rear to help it turn in better.

I'm 5'9" and 192lbs. I can touch with both feet but not completely flat (toe to heel) and my rear end has been raised slightly. I'm betting you would have no issues with a stock 7r.

Sit on it before you buy.
