rebuilding shocks-anyone done it?

mine is a 97 model and im fairly sure all 91+are the same...but correct me if im wrong. anyways, i saw a set of seals on ebay for like 30 bucks, they look like the very lowest seal...with mine leaking(actually left a puddle on the ground now) are these the only seals ill need, just press them in and refill the shocks? or is a complete dissassembly required and if so, is kawasaki the only place i can get the full seal kit?

also, if anyones done the rebuild (new or old) whats some good tips to pull the seals out, pulling everything else out without damage, and the easiest way to re-thread the caps back on (more than likely the hardest part id assume)

my bikes probly not going to be seeing the street this season so if its easier to find (and worth the money) to just get good used ones(which could leak later on) which would you suggest doing...looking for the best price, and im sure i could pull off the rebuild, ive just never done it before.

im suspecting that my bike was attempted to be stunted...i dont have the story on the bike, but by looking at the motor it looks fairly taken care of (except for the body work and the front shocks leaking) so guessing that he doesnt know how to set down the front wheel properly-and 2, he leaned it back too far, and broke almost everything on the right side. just wondering if wheeling is the main cause for these seals going out- or would every 15k require a rebuild. this is my first bike and i really dont know- so if anyone can answer my questions, its much appreciated.

rear shock or forks..?

Forks...not so bad. I did a write-up on kawiforums in the how-to section on doing it.

Shocks....you needs a couple custom tools and a 160 psi nitrogen source....so I entrust them to a professional. Or buy a new/used one.
