i want to go inverted.

so.. in my driveway right now i have a 95 fzr 600 a 96 zx7r, and a 2000 zx9r. mine is the 7. but anyways back to the point how come out of all the bikes i see all over the place my bike is the only one without inverted forks..?? it doesnt make sense at all... all the oil, up top.

so i saw somewhere else on the site some one did a zx 10 or 14 front end swap onto the 7 and said that it weighed 30ish pounds less and such, and bolted straight on. IM CALLIN YOU OUT MAN. id like to hear you contribute to this... im very interested in learning about this.

but why though if 90 percent of bikes have inverted forks, why run them that way on the 7. were they planning something? is it supposed to be better to run them "in"inverted. it just doesnt make sense to me.. my roomates fizzer is like a bmx bike compared to the 7 and hes got inverted... plus its a 95...

i figured i would start doin some homework since my seals are shot...( all the oil leaked out onto my front rotors. good design!) and now its almost time to put the whore ( thats her name) away, i wanna either just do my seals or do the switch..

any 2 cents is appreciated...

take them to a shop off the bike... i have a guy that worked for kawi for 15 years and now he works for himself and doesnt have the right tool at the house to hold the whole mess together while you change the seal.. or some nonsense. so i myself would suggest have some one who knows how to do it and has the tools so there is no surprises.

im assuming your talkin about the forks and not the rear shock 2jz.

i dont know the prices of the shops in your area, kawi of putnam will do it for 60 bucks if you just bring them the forks... the seals them selves are like 20 bucks tops on ebay. i need to get mine done so bad. im pretty sure i have no oil left in mine, both my rotors are covered in oil and my front pads are totally embedded. very very unsafe.... but lucky for me im waiting on a set of spark plug wires so i cant ride her anyways...
