hi all

hi i thought id say hi here as im likely to ignore the rest of this forum, im in cambridgeshire in the uk, bike is a 2001 zx7r with a few mods, that spends most of its time on the track rather than a road
maxton reworked forks, maxton rear shock
akaprovic full system with tri can
ignition advancer
carbon race spec airbox, with high flow filter
7rr flat side carbs with factory jet kit
reworked forged crank, matched con rods, wiseco pistons
reprofiled cams, with vernier pulleys
stainless steel braided brake lines
BST carbon wheels
adjustable rearsets
carbon bodywork
people say im mad because of the amount of cash ive spent on my 7r, but i love the bike, im rebuilding another zx7r at the moment that a friend crashed at donington race track, i bought the remains of the bike for pennys, but it does need a lot of work, this bike will have a zx9 motor instead of its original 7 motor bye 4 now

bst carbon wheels.... I'm drooling

I was looking at the carbon bodywork from OPP racing. Thinking about starting with the front fender and solo rear section.

so how would you describe the feel of the bsts compared to stock rims. new bsts are approx. 3,900.00 now.

i can get the r&t forks and ttx shock with setup for about 4k.

where would you think the money should be better spent for hot street and an accasional trackday....the rims or the new suspension.

my stock suspension has been set by a race shop/ no revalving though. i'm on an '06 10r.

unless your serious about trackdays or club racing i wouldnt bother with the rims, ive only used mine once so far and that was in seriously wet conditions so untill next time out i cant really coment, id go down the suspension route first as you will never be able to use the bike to anywhere near its true abililty unless you can get the power transmitted throught to the surface properly
