zx7r question

Hey!

Im new on this forum, so first of all I just want to say hello to everyone.

Ive just bough a 92 zx7r thats in very good condition, and i really love it! But the thing is, I think its very hard work to do wheelie`s with it. Ive drove several other bikes before, and they where easy as hell to get up on the back wheel compared to my zx.. Is the zx7r a hard bike to stunt with or is it just me who lack skills?

Edit: Found out that this was a well know topic with help from good old friend google, so nvm this tread:P

not the easiest to wheelie, but it can be done, dont have that problem on mine though, infact its more the opposite, keeping the dam thing down

Had no problem on mine before I sold it. You clutching it or power? I always clutched mine up. I also changed the sprockets 1 down in front and 2 up in the back. It's a heavy bike try not to come down to hard or you'll be going though a lot of fork seals.

As dirty13south said.. it's a heavy bike and it's also front end heavy. But I like that because it's tracks like it's on rails. No other bike I have ridden tracks the corners like a ZX-7. Throw it in and it will stick.

As for lifting the front end. Throw on a Muzzy exhaust, jet kit, 1 tooth smaller in the front, 2-3 teeth larger in the rear and it will make a big difference.

My next step on my zx-7 is keihin flat slide carbs. I had them on my old 89 zx-7 and it woke the bike up huge along with the muzzy exhaust and gearing.

Roll on wheelies were never a problem after that. Never again did I have to clutch my bikes front end up, which made bringing it back down easier IMO. Nice to have the throttle control coming back down to earth
