Talking Newb '90 ZX7 Clutch Questions

I recently purchased a 90 zx7. They guy before did some racing/track days. The clutch seems to be slipping. I can't get over 2,500 rpm without it revving up and the bike not responding. I am assuming I need to replace the clutch friction plates, metals and springs but don't know the best source to get the parts. I plan on using the bike for track days so am hessitant to put OEM parts in her.

Any suggestions on where to get the parts and the proper thickness on the metals? Any help would be great for a newb to the forum and to the ZX7.

thanks

Those bikes have slipper clutches in them stock from the factory. All you need are different thickness friction plates and spring (to get the slipper fuction working). If you do a search on this site and a couple others (http://www.redmonkey.com, http://webzxr.co.uk/) they will tell you how and what to do. Most people who use this bike on the track and have done this adjustment say they love it (helps going into the corners).
