Will P Engine Fit

Will a P model engine fit in the older frames cuz Im in need of a motor mine crapped out on me the day before yesterday, so any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

If the P is from a 96 or newer then no it will not fit. You will have to find something fro 91-95 or a 94-97 zx9.

I cant find a motor for a 91-95 ZX7 and I also cant find a 94-97 ZX9 motor

Why wont the P motor fit cuz all the pics that I have looked at the mounts look the same and the frame looks the pretty similar

I have not seen the motors side by side to compare but from what i have read the motor mounts are not the same. I think they sit farther down on the motors than the 91-95 so they would have to be moved. Also even if it did fit you would have to change out the wire harness and ecu to a newer one. And then (i'm not 100% sure) you will have to change headlights and tail lights or hack the two harnesses together. If they use the same bulbs then it would be fine. If your going to go through all that i would get a newer zx9 (98^) motor as they are more plentiful.

Well I have come to the conclusion that Im just going to scrap the bike and sell the good parts off of it

both motors you are looking for are very hard to find. since most people with a model P fit the older zx9 engine.
