Eliminating Thermostat???

Hi all. I read a blog that said that, it is a good idea to eliminate the thermostat on a bike so it runs cooler!! Never herd that before! Any one else herd this rumor. Any help would be great. I also have questions about bike parts. I have a 1992 zx7. i need windscreen, front brakes, thermostat, extended swing arm, all the proper bolts and stuff to mount all plastics and windscreen, new chain for extended swing arm, brake line kit for rear for extended swing arm. Thanks again for all the help. Keep up the good work. Also, any one from NEPA, let me know. Thanks again.

Damn, I just realized I belong to this board.

Anyways, you can remove the thermostat if you want to for track use and the zx7r racing manaul says to remove it to increase cooling but according to Ken Waters (RIP) you can leave it in as it does do what the manual says it does.

Check out http://webzxr.co.uk/ and look in the tech tips. Then look for Ken's tips.
