Angry Only Click when starting

I Press the start button at the starter relay clicks. I've replaced the Battery, starter relay, fuel pump relay, and fuse/junction box but it is still doing it. If I tap the starter relay it will engage the starter and start. I have also check the wiring and cannot see any shorts or disconnections. Any Recommendations?

Thanks
Jeremy

Have you got a fuse adjacent to the solenoid, if so check the condition &/or connections of that, this is often overlooked. The 500 has this additional fuse so the 7R probably has too. Also check the starter button on the handlebar control. Both of these if exposed to the elements can corrode & cause bad connections.

The ZX7 has a fuse on the solonoid itself, it is good. I will check the start switch, and clean it if needed.

Thanks

I had the same problem with my 97. Took it to a shop to have it looked at and they couldnt get it do it, started everytime. So went up there to see what they were doing different it cranked right up, so I shut it down with the kill switch like normal. The guy goes "theres your problem". They were turning it off with the key and never touched that switch. I started using the key and didnt have any problems for awhile then it started doing it again. After flipping the switch back and forth a few times it would fire up so I replaced it with a used one and it hasnt given me any problems yet but Ive only tried it a few times since the bikes been down for the winter. A new one is about $70 if I remember right.
