ZX7 Newb saying HELLO!

Sup everyone.....new here. Just made a deal tonight for a 1993 zx7 and I pick it up next weekend. Im not new to cycles just new to Kawasaki and the zx7. I been racing quad the past few years and getting out of it (wife decided I have to many hobbies) and in order to fill the need im getting back into street bikes. Figure I can get my fill on nice days driving to work and what not.

So I worked this guy down to 950 bucks for this rig. I dont have pics but I can describe what im buying, keep in mind im only paying 950 bucks....It starts and runs nice, 38k on the motor....def need to have the valves adjusted and the oil changed.

The good....has a muzzy exhaust and has a polished frame, tires seem to have some good life left, all lights and devices appear to work fine.

The bad...looks like one front brake has a bad seal...theres a manual switch electrical taped to the brake fluid cup for the radiator fan...wires sticking out everywhere..seems like the throttle responce is crisp however return to idel seems very slow...somthings gummed up..... AND it is down right fugly....I mean fugly.....the side fairings are like a rainbow....the top cowling, tank and rear cowling are grey primer....horrible horrible sanding and needs to have all the fairings sanded and repainted...none of the fairings are mounted and seems like most bolts are missing..I think I can get a kit from ebay....all the stock bolt ons like handlebar ends, pegs, foot rests...any of the aluminum trim pieces are all powder coated a different color..I think white, blue, green....orange? and the rims are a hidius orange color the brake calipers are purple.....This is one ugle bike..... HOWEVER looking at pictures of other peoples bikes help assure me that this bike with some love should be abe to turn heads with a smile instead of making someone vomit lol....

I look forward to posting pics next week after I picked it up.....cant wait to start asking all kinds of stupid questions!!!!!

Look out ebay, here I come lol....

Welcome and good luck! Sounds like yours and my 99 zx7 are just about in similar shape.....not for long. Were bringing the good ones home from the bone yard.
