i have a 92 zx600r and it wont start. ive replaced the petcock, cleaned the carburetors but i think they might be clogged deeper than i can reach with the tool.besides carb cleanre is there anythign i should try to soak the carbs in or cean them with to clear them completly out... anything will help. thanks
Take the carbs off and disassemble them from the bottom to get to the jets and floats, take the jets out and go to the hardware store to find a wire small and sturdy enough to fit in the small holes. soak them in carb cleaner afterwards if you want to them reinstall the jets accordingly to w/e the factory is and the floats as well. That should resolve your issue. Make sure your fuel pump works if you have one, fuel filter is clear of foreign objects, spark is apparent, plugs are good and plug wires are good as well.
key on imo 92ninja. the string i used was guitar string. i couldnt find anything at my local hardware store. the string ran me $1.54. twirl the string, dont poke in and out once u softly make it thru whatever holes ur trying to clean.
If they're just beginning to act up, try some Sea Foam before you go tearing into the carbs. You may just have a little dirt or water in your fuel lines, the Sea Foam may clear that up....
If that doesn't work, then 92Ninja is right; it's carb cleaning time.

Just be careful about running wires and other objects through the fine holes and ports in your jets and caburetor orifices. Opening them up by even the most minute degree could change fuel or air metering and mess up your tune big time.
Cough up 5 bucks and go get carb cleaner and soak. Don't try to take shortcuts, they are often risky and expensive Cause things like what ZX7RJoe said can happen.
