Do You Wear Your Full Leathers On The Road?

Taichi WRX R300 suit, this is what I'm wearing if I'm planning on riding hard.

If I venture out of town i'll wear leather jacket and pants, don't have a full suit.
I always wear at least a mesh jacket even if it's 100*+ outside.

like EZ, although I do have full leathers and for voyages they're on almost without exception.

Don't feel self-conscious about the way you look, if that's the issue. Cagers accept that we're geared up to save our hides. They often joke about how miserable I must be when it's 90+ degrees out, so they understand. Just don't act or talk differently or make a scene to try to garner attention, like you're Mr. MotoGP, trying to have them come over for an autograph and nobody will take notice.

Alright! Trading bikes for a while was fun.I'm ready for mine back. No, seriously, get off my bike. Ahh, what a privilege it is to have such a sweet ride.

Commuting, I wear mesh jacket, mesh over pants, Held Titan gloves, helmet, and A* Ridge (commuting) boots.

Spirited riding, I make sure to wear jeans under my over pants, my sidi vortice boots, everything else stays the same.

Track: leather suit, back protector, Helds, and Sidis (and of course helmet)

Depending on weather, I'll wear my leather jacket, otherwise, i just use the removable liners.

BTW, what kind of boots and gloves are you wearing?

I wear leather AGV leather pants year round. Doesn't matter if your on a track or street, road rash still feels the same. Mesh jacket for now, but saving for leather jacket too. Too many variables on the street to not wear full gear. Tim

For street riding I usually just have leather jacket, jeans, gloves and highcut a-stars boots. Helmet obviously as well...

If I am going for more spirited riding I will throw the leather riding pants into the ensemble.

Jeans, boots, leather jacket/textile jacket, gloves, helmet. Pretty much always. I don't have a full suit, yet.

Occasionally if it's really hot out and I'm staying local and not doing any highway, I'll wear everything but the jacket. But oh well. Most of us have done it before and will probably do it again.

I don't wear one on the streets, but I plan to get one for if I decide to do a track day next year.

I do very little casual riding-if I'm on the bike, I'm usually doing at least 200 miles. I always wear my 2-piece Dainese R leathers unless it's too hot and then I have a 2-piece Tourmaster Flex 3-season armored textile set. The leathers are the most comfortable, so unless it's over 90F outside, that's what I'm wearing. Here's me taking a picture in Glacier National Park:

Here's the Tourmaster Flex 2-piece, last summer in Arkansas:

Leathers all the time unless its like 95 out then I trade my leather pants for my alpine jeans with padding and kevlar. Only ever wear regular jeans to work, its a 1 mile ride.

The one piece leathers look cool on the road IMHO, shows everyone your serious on safety and might just save your hide. I wish everyone suited up on their sportbikes. The Squid look is definitely out, just saw a guy go by on aGixxer wearing no helmet, no gloves, sandals, shorts and a tanktop.

I wear my one piece whenever I'm going for a spirited ride. It's just so much more comfortable and more ventilated than my leather jacket + jeans. It almost... feels like I'm wearing nothing at all.

I rarely wear my leathers for street riding. That being said, I wear a mesh jacket, fully padded force field pants under my jeans, Boots gloves and of course my helmet. If I plan on stopping anywhere, I will take my Ogio No Drag backpack as well for carrying stuff or putting my jacket and helmet in if I am going to be off the bike for a while. I am less comfortable walking into an eating establishment or music store in full leathers than I am in my mesh jacket and jeans.

98% of the time i get on the bike is for spirited riding, and so I always have a suit on.
