New here, thread to show of my bike.
Hello everybody. I know its not a ZX but its close and therefore I joined this forum to learn more about my bike and to share with others and knowledge I may have.
Bought a 2008 Kawasaki ZZR600 last winter when prices were low.
Put 4,000 miles on this year modding it along the way.
Here are some pictures of course:
Here it is first day I got her 0 miles on the odometer.
After a couple months, got the exhaust, undertail and crash cage and other little things.

Nice R1. Although, I have to ask...you've got all that performance sitting in your garage...why did you end up buying a ZZR? I'm not trying to rag on you or anything, I'm just wondering.
Welcome to the forum, by the way.

I imagine it's because the ZZR is so comfy.
Welcome man, nice bikes.

It was mainly for comfort alongside of other reasons but mostly the fact that I can't ride the R1 for more than a couple hours without being dog tired and have monkey ass. the 636 was for the old lady at first but she didnt like the power and got a 09 250r instead and now the 636 is just an extra.
I love the ZZR, probably more than the R1. Just overall more user friendly.
R1 is more for showing off, the zzr I ride the shit out of through the country twisties and such here in NC
I have to add that insurance for me is FAR cheaper for full coverage on the zzr.
The 636 I don't use and am selling, and same with the R1 I like to take that cruising or to bike nights to show off so I have only liabilty on it.

those lockhart turn 6 flushmounts mount up fine, but you need to just make some sort of larger backing plate because the nylon nut they provide will slip down during riding and show a gap and you will constantly have to push them up and back.

Yay! A 00-02 zx6r! I mean... zzr. It's nice to see my bikes (I have a few of these) so clean. Hopefully next summer I'll be looking as nice as your zzr!

the last thing i think about on the track is comfort. 03-04 636 would make a much better track bike

There's no fine line between a track bike and one that does a few track days. I think the primary purpose is leading the priorities here.

agree 100% however I am not trying to have it be a bike designated for track use only and this zzr is far more smoother and comfortable on the street than the 636.
got the zx6r off a guy who stunted it so it is a little beat up so it would need alot more work and is just overall alot less "put together" as my zzr.

Don't take me the wrong way I absolutely LOVE the 03 zx6r. It is far sexier IMO and much faster than my zzr600. If mine was in better condition and insurance was lower, I would be putting all my money in that bike.

One thing I do favor on the zx6r/zzr over my 05 636 is the tank. The zx6r/zzr tank is way better for stunting. I think the 03/04 636 has the same or similar tank. Why the hell does the newer 636's have a half tank and the other half plastic? So gay.
