**I love this bike and had intended to keep it forever. that's why i did all the
stuff to it. I have sunk some money in this bike. Here's the deal...
Every time i go to ride...my family freaks out. It does not matter where i go or when...it's a bad time to ride a "dangerous motorcycle" on the street.
My family and even some friends just freak constantly. My ex girl wouldn't ride on the back because here squid friend wrecked his dumbass trying to show off on an R1 that he didn't know how to ride.
I catch shit for owning this bike on a daily basis. it has almost turned me against even riding it because the crap i put up with is not worth the hour or two i have once a week to ride the damn thing.
I wear full gear when i ride. I don't do stunts and really don't speed very often. oh well.
i am serious about selling it. the bike costs me almost 300.00 per month to own with the payment and insurance.
that's a lot to pay for self crusifiction!

everyone in my family jumps my ass bout my bike too but you wont see mine for sale. no matter what they will freak out. as far as i'm concerned i would just tell them to suck it up and get over it. if its your time to die, guess what, your gonna die.

sounds like you just need to stand your ground and talk to your family and friends about motorcycling so they can see it in a more positive light. i have some friends that are completely against motorcycling because their friends brother knew a guy that had a friend who fell off a bike, but they've stopped giving me shit about riding it after i've talked to them about it.
If you're under 18 get rid of it until you're an adult. If you're over 18, sack up and tell them to give it a rest or just ignore them.
My family thinks they're dangerous and that I'm going to die on it but I've learned to ignore them because I know their views are based mostly on ignorance.
I've also ditched a woman because she didn't like the fact that I have a motorcycle. There are plenty more that are into bikes and/or not overbearing and controlling regardless of their concern for my safety.
