02 zx6jr engine and 05 636 engine

I am taking parts off my 05' 636 and swapping them onto my 02' zx6j. For now- I am going to use the stock 02 engine. Later down the road, I would like to possibly turbo it. It would be a fun project and keep me away from messing with DD cars.

While the 636 motor will drop in with 2 new motor mounts made, will the 636 head fit and run correctly on the 02 block? I heard that the pistons are swappable, so??? Just an idea. Fuel injected would be easier for boost. I don't really understand how tuning would work with a carb setup. Can anyone enlighten me?

pistons are 1mm larger bore in a 636 than ur 600j. also the cylinder jugs dont fit so u would have to bore out ur 600j cylinders 1mm. not sure if the head would work. ?I know the cams are different and gears designed differently but if you are swapping complete heads i would say if everything lines up and valve lifts are about the same, you should be ok. if you decide you are going to turbo it, get a slightly thicker head gasket to lower compression a little.

is there anything wrong with the 636 motor?

i was thinking of turbocharging my carb'd zzr but the amount of work involved in creating a pressureized enclosured for the carbs was too much. and my bike would just look like a maze of piping.
people use a stage 3 jet kit and at higher rpms its ok, but lower rpms (before the boost) your running way too rich.
altho i am trying to design an air injection swirl port that flows compressed air from a secondary intake into a swirl motion right under the venturi of carb creating a heavier vacuum to bring in more fuel for the increased air.

id say if the 636 engine is good, and you got a lot of time on ur hands. bore out the cylinders of ur 600j 1mm over and swap cylinder jugs from ur 600j to the 636. and hope for the best
