Deal or No Deal?

Found an '06 636 with 30 miles (yes, only 30 miles) for $5,750 plus tax.
What do you think? Good deal?

Technically, going by blue book values, it should be less. But with miles that low, paying a little extra would be worth it. If it's still in great condition, then it would be worth it...but if it's been dropped or the plastics are scratched to shit, then you should try at least a little negotiation.

Did they give you any explanation as to why the miles are so low?

Here's the deal.

A dealer has it now. Bought from a guy who didn't use it for some odd reason. In perfect condition with only a couple scuffs from being rubbed against in the garage. No tiping over at all. Oh, and all the fluids were replaced by the dealer. They are asking $6,000 but I can get it for $5,750 plus tax.

My only thought is with it being an 06 is that there may be little issues. I would deff. try to negotiate down atleast a couple hundred just because you never know what has happened while it has been sitting. I would see if they will let you ride it make sure everything feels right and if you can talk them down a little bit I think it is a great deal. I paid 4700 for my 05 if that helps with the process at all.
Hope it goes the way you want it.
Good Luck

LT, I think you may be the one smoking rock. You paid 6K for a bike with 10K miles? Ouch!

Even though the mileage makes it sound like a great deal, having a bike sit like that can do more harm than good. CA can have some harsh weather conditions even though it's been sitting in a garage. Rust in the tank, seals drying up, tires dry rotting, valve springs compressed, etc.
Is the dealer offering a warranty? If not, I would say, no deal.

i bought my 636 for $5300 earlier this year with ~400 miles on it. put 6k miles on it so far with no problems. just had to flush all the fluids. it really just depends on how the bike was stored.
