Just for Info
I talked to my tuner today about the Kawi velocity stack mod and definitely a re-tune is required because of the air flow changes. I trust him emphatically. I mean he does re-tunes for $50. Now that's no print outs or torque runs. He just sets it up and does HP runs and adjusts as needed. How many shops do that out there.
So if you've done this mod you need a re-tune sounds like.
This will be my 3rd trip. Now I've got to install the mod and set up an appointment next week. So all in all I'll have 3 runs for $350. Considering they are scarce around these parts I guess that's good.
Oh yea! The design of the mod is to put the 15 MM on the outside and the 20's in the middle for more top end HP but if the need is more mid range you CAN reverse and put the 20's on the outside and 15's in the middle for even more mid range.
With the -1 +2 and X-Tre I'm going with plan A.

50 bucks for a tune is a damn good price. Most places I have talked to about tuning my bike has been around 200 for the HP run and a full tune. Which is why I am slowly gathering parts and going to be putting them on all at once so I only have to tune once. Good luck with the install and the tune though. Hope it goes well

It was $250 the first time with everything. The next HP run only was $50. That's all we going to do this week is pop it on the machine long enough to see if/what adjustments are needed for the new stacks.
