gettin ready for my brake flush :)
well I got the brake fluid, I got the syringe, i need to get plastice hose and squeeze bottle. Trying the reverse flush method which i read posted somewhere either here or kawiforums.com But also the tech at the dealership said that he prefers that method because you are pushing the fluid out and you get less air in the lines.

Good luck. They actually sell a kit at most auto parts stores.

pressured flushes are best but not possible with bikes.if you grab brakes 3 times and after 3rd, loosen bleeder screw then tighten and top off before releasing handle, you should be ok once fluid is flushed out. its cheaper on supplies but may take little longer.

That reminds me, I have to buy my wife a new turkey baster. She was PISSED! I didn't do the pressured or reverse flush, it just takes some time bleeding them thoroughly and completely. Not hard at all. In fact, cars are much harder because the brake lines are longer and you can't reach the pedal and the bleeder valve at the same time.

If you want to change fluid you just need about 1600 miles. Empty the front reservoir and pour in fresh. Run 400 miles on roads where you use a lot of brakes. Repeat every 400 miles and you will have all new fluid after 1600 miles. No uck fups. You waste abot 2 1/2 oz. every time. So what.
Passive break fluid system.
Note the rear is not effective due to the use being low.

ok guys so i did the brake flush...it was nice yest so i went out riding. i cant tell if the front brake feels a little spongier than it used to or not. but i feel like wen i used to brake hard it would lift the rear up a little now its not. but i bled the left caliper than the right and it looked like there was no more air coming out of the lines
