07 cluster for an 03 zx6r is it possible???

Hello guys
I was wondering if you people can give me an advice.
I have an 07 cluster from my previous zx6r, now i have an 03 for double duties(work+track days)
My question is - is it possible to use an 07 cluster on an 03????????
I remember reading in the past that some people have tried this.
Any helpful tips will be appreciated.

Hey, just first off to say so you can find some more helpful info on it, there are a few topics on this very idea. I think it may have been the 07 on an 05 set up, but we have the same gauges from 03-06.

Anyways, yes, you can do it. It is very possible, you just have to have it wired up properly. You are going to lose funtions on the 07 gauges that your 03 does not have though, like the gear indicator. You could get that to work, but you would need the wiring for the gear indicator. Also, the ODO will not read correct unless you have the same miles between each ODO. I have not done, nor have I attempted the change so I do not know the difficulty of it, the tools needed, or the time it would take. That info, someone else is going to have to chime in about.

Anyways, if you decide to do it, post up pictures of it and good luck!

Your gear indicator will likely never work. Its not a simple resistance/varying voltage signal, its actually a digital data stream from the ECU of the 07. I have no idea about even the tach working. Digital stuff makes things hard to work with.
