exhaust servo eliminater!
hi again 2 questions you guys may be able to help me out with!
first is, is it ok to post photos of our other bikes and where do we post them!
second is, also just fitted a scorpion end can to my zx636 cf6 model, it sound great so chuffed to bits with it! however have noticed that when I first turn on the ignition the the eliminater clicks side to side and makes quite a loud noise but as soon as I start the bike it stops! is this normal because never noticed it when the original sevo pully and cables where on! am I right in thinking that when the cables where on with the original pully wheel and standard exhaust it should still click side to side the reason why it may have not been so loud is because the cables are under tentsion! I would like your input in this matter just making sure every thing is correct!

You need a servo eliminator. Ivan's makes one as do a bunch of other places/exhaust companies. You could also make your own. Do a search on it and you'll find all you need.
As for posting pics, have at it. Get a photobucket account, start a new thread in the "Member's Rides" section and go to town.

thanks for the reply but I think you may have misundestod, the scorpion exhaust came with its own servo eliminator its just replaces the servo pully wheel so have put the eliminator on its seems to work fine the f1 light stays off like it should do but it just makes a clicking noise! have got a feeling this may stop after have ridden the bike for a short while! the weather in the uk is shit at the monent its pissing down every day! just asing if any of the guys on here have expererince the same thing!

Did your exhaust come with any kind of servo motor stop? The thing with my akrapovic was it had a piece that replaced the pulley and the cables. As far as I know mine has settled down now. But it is also under the seat so itight be I just don't notice it anymore. Take pics of where the cables went to on the servo motor and let us see what you are working with. Then maybe we can give you a better idea of what to do

My servo has had the cables disconnected and just sitting there doing it's thing since the addition of the Yoshi slip-on. Of course the jumper mod is in place and I guess that disables the little sucker. Iduno? I've never even thought about an eliminator. I figure it ain't hurting nothing so let it alone.
Why replace something that's not doing nothing?

Well, the eliminator is mainly to get rid of the FI light so that if something else goes bad or wrong, you'll know.

With some it will throw the FI light if the motor isn't stopped. Thats the reason some do it. My Akra came with a fix so it didn't cost me anything else

yes it did it came with a device thats simular to the servo pully wheel! have took the servo pully off and removed the cables and fitted this device that takes the place of the servo original pully wheell it is a proper eliminator supplied with the scorpion exhaust and dose keep the f1 ligth off but it was just making a clicking noise like yours so may be it needs to adjust and settle like yours! I do not rememer hearing a clickling noise when the original cables and servo pully wheel was on because I allways started the bike as soon as I turned the ignition on its just that with having the seat when I first started the bike it sounded loud even with the seat on yu can gear the clicking but like I said it stops when I start the engine!

Did you just install the exhaust like... today? If so you may want to take it for a decent ride and just give it some time and then see what happens.
