07/08 akra slip-on users advice please

i just got my akra slip on for my 08, and i was wondering if yall kept the "noise reduction insert" in or out? i'm planning on installing it tomorrow and just wanted to know which sounds best in yalls opinions. I dont want it to be obnoxiously loud or anything cuz i dont feel like getting a ticket for it but i'm fine w/ it being loud.

any advice appreciated...thanks

The install should be pretty straight forward.

I have the fuul system with no nosie reduction insert in it and it is not super loud at low RPM's but about 9K it really screams . I have never had any trouble with the police around my area.

cool yeah at 9k i expect it too...i've just got some real sh*tty neighbors in where i live who b*tch about everything, so i just dont feel like getting a fine for it being too loud at idle when its warming up and when i first leave in the mornings...which its ok for the short bus to honk its horn at 6:30 in the morning to rush a parent and not stop for about 15 mins but God forbid when i had my Buell at 8 or 9am if i didnt just start it up and go cuz the guy across the street from me would raise hell

I just ordered an akra for my 05. Can't tell you specifics about the 07/08 but I have heard the slip on on an 05/06 636 without the insert and it sounded really good. It wasn't so loud that your ears would bleed but it was deff loud enough that you could hear the exhaust over the wind noise. I won't be putting an insert in mine. Don't know if that helps you out at all just thought I would pass it along.
Good Luck on the install.

Akra's are usually one of the more quieter exhausts.

the two bros just isnt my style(plus is much uglier than the akra) and the yoshi is overrated...especially the one that fits the 08s, i'd be better off w/ stock as far as sound goes. plus w/ the akra i'm able to keep my current fender eliminator kit that keeps ths stock lights, unlike the two bros

I have the full system and I took the silencer out. Just try it with the silencer in and with it out. See what you like best.
