I just moved up to the 600 also. Hold onto the tank with your knees and support yourself with your core muscles. Other than that just ride and you will get used to it.

ive heard a lot of people break in their engines by giving it hell on the throttle in 2nd through 5th gear as much as you can untill about 300 or so miles thats what i did and mine runs beautifully ...aside from some dumb shit i did to the tranny recently NOTE:dont shift into neutral at high speeds to ride with no hands and expect to make a clean transition to 2nd i think i fucked up the dogs and cogs on my gears now when i try to clutch up a wheelie my tranny shifts me into neutral

anyway here are a few things to do first:

invest in good riding gear: Helmet, Leathers, gloves, boots ect. you will be thankfull when you go down your first time (happens to the best of us)

tune your suspension: there is a good tutorial video posted around here somewhere i will try to find it and post it here for you

invest in frame sliders, racing rails, or a stunt cage: keep your baby looking good even if it does go down

WELCOME AND HAPPY RIDING

And by now you've shit in your pants right. Just kidding. Big bang huh?

Oh yea keep it under 9k for 300 or so but give it hell in the process otherwise drive it like you stole it. After introduce it to 12 till 500 then let it rip.

Do the jumper mod after that and hit the rev limiter over 17K if you want to.

yeah man my butt hurts too since not used to the seat yet

hey do i really need to do the 600 mile service for $200 something from the dealer? is that necessary or recommended or is that just another way of the dealer making money?

should i just change my own oil around 600 mile "service" or do i do the one from dealer?

dont waste your money on an oil change just check over bolts and anything that could be loose and change your own oil

Congrats on the bike. Just keep riding youll get used to it eventually. Like CRX said use your core muscles it helps alot and your hands will get use to the clutch
