Ebay Fairings Finally Installed

OK, so I have decided to move my original thread over here to make it easier to read. If you want to get a little background, read the original thread here:

http://www.zxforums.com/forums/zx-6r...y-farings.html

And yes,

So after weeks of waiting, I finally got my fairings that I purchased on ebay installed. A few bumps in the road (waiting for my tank to come back from paint), and finding I was missing a few pieces and such, but I am finally done.

I bought these from a company called Auctmarts on ebay. I did a lot of research and decided that this was the best company and they had a quality product. When it arrived it looked like everything was true.

So for those of you that will ask, everything seemed to be in great shape. Fairings looked the same as OEM, felt the same thickness, and seemed just the same, you would never know. Paint job was really good, only a few small minor problems of paint not being quite finished all the way to the edge. But you would never see it, it was in areas that you don't see. I only noticed because I waxed every piece before I installed it.

They came nicely packaged as seen here.

And here is them on my floor.

Pieces fit up almost perfect. The only trouble that I had was with the tail light (although I had problems with the original fairings too), and the front of the lower cowl. To fix the problem I just had to make the hole a little bigger.

Here it is completed, with the tank painted to match.

Full shot of the bike. Finally got a nice day to take it out.

Here you can see that there is a small gap between the light and the fairing. Just like the original fairings, I am going to have to glue it to keep it properly in place.

All in all, everything worked out great, and mounted up great. I'll update this later to let you know how it continues to hold up over time.

Ive heard nothing but good things about ebay fairings, And thats from ppl that have actually bought/installed them. Usually when someone is dissing them they have no experience with them. Looks good man I like it.

Just the opposite for me. Everyone I have ever heard from that bought ebay fairings were highly disappointed. Glad to hear they worked out for you. And please keep us posted. It's good info to have, ya know...just in case.

I brought an ebay fairing for a J2 model and was well dissapointed in the fit and quality i had to do alot of mods to get it to fit!It seems some models are a good fit and some are not!
It does look good on the bike now though!

The company (Auctmarts) that I bought this from had a lot of good Ebay comments about the fitment. The big thing that got me was that they gave me a link to two different forums (CBR and Gixxer forums) where people had posted just like I did. I was nervous at first, but when I opened the box I was pleased at the attention to quality on the tabs. They were professional and not cheaply put on.
I am very pleased with these and I would recommend this company to purchase from.

I paid $625 delivered ( I think, I'd have to look again), but this includes the extra $50 I paid for a solo seat cover, and the front fuel tank fairing.

As for trying to find the company, I think that on ebay, they are listed as Auctmarts1. I can guarantee you they are there, in fact once I got my custom stuff done, they listed it on ebay. Here it is for any of you bastards trying to copy me

Yep, you are correct, I have a crappy windscreen on there right now because I have my windscreen off getting ready to get it priced and painted (hopefully, I'm running out of cash).
