Rundown of my Ebay Farings
OK People,
I know that there has been a few posts about Ebay Fairings. I have also noticed lots of mixed reviews about these.
I have decided that I am going to share my story of my Ebay fairings from start to finish, good or bad.
OK, so let me start by saying that I did a lot of research on different companies on Ebay selling these fairings. I decided to go with a company called Auctmarts (they have a store on ebay). I've read lots of good things about them so I decided that they would be the company to go with.
I ordered these fairings about 6 weeks ago today, and today they arrived. I am just going to pick them up from the post office.
Normally they don't take that long. Mine were shipped express, and only took about 5 days to arrive from Hong Kong. The extra time was because I ordered custom design, so they took time to make.
Total cost was $620 delivered. It was originally $570, but for an extra $50, they threw in the front gas tank cover and a solo seat cover
Once I have them I will give a full rundown on them, from start to finish.
P.S. It's going to take some time because I have to color match my spare tank to match before I install, and I am short of time these days and would prefer to ride as much as I can instead of looking at my bike in pieces.

I'm interested to hear what you think but still skeptical about the product.

I went riding with a guy "before he crashed his bike ", anyway he got the ebay fairing from Hong Kong and they were PERFECT . I looked over his bike 20 times and I couldnt find 1 bad thing .
I'm the type of person to where if I see a fitment issue I will spot it out and tell them . Even a stratch bugs the shit out of me . I look over my bike EVERY day ! even though I ride it once a month and its on wheel stands in the GARAGE .. I still do a visual inspection .
Anyway , YES his that he ordered for his 05 636 was perfect . not 1 fitment issue .

I'll be honest, I am starting skeptical as well. I'll be giving full details on the whole thing, down to every little tiny spot of error (just because I am that type of guy as well).
I'll be picking it up in about 30 mins, so I'll post more in a bit.

Alright, so I finally got my fairings now.
Went and picked them up from the Post Office, and brought them home to inspect each piece.
I was rather impressed at the packing. All of the fairings fit into one big box (approx. 3' x 2' x 2'), and the box was a good thick, quality box, not some break from just handling box.
Each piece was nicely wrapped, and the box was filled with the foam paper so that there would be no moving around of pieces. They even sent me a set of Frame Sliders, and a Tank Pad
I got each piece out, and inspected it very carefully to look for any problems. As for the actual fairing, I looked at all the tabs to see how they were created. They look very professional, just like stock.
I searched all over for paint runs, scratches, etc. Couldn't find any except for a fingerprint on my front fender, and one on the lower cowl. I emailed the company to tell them about it, so I will see what they say. I might just be able to buff it out, but it is hard to tell right now.
I also had one bent tab on the air duct covers, but I don't see this as a problem, as I can reinforce it so it won't bend anymore.
So far everything looks really good, here is a pic of the design. I know not everyone will like it, but that's what I was looking for.
I didn't include all the other covers that come along with it, but they were there as well, and you couldn't tell the difference from those or stock if I put them down beside each other.
The only thing that I need to do now, is get the tank painted to match, and also get a bracket for the solo seat cover. It didn't come with it, but I already have one ordered.
I'll post more once I get to actually installing it.

I was hoping that with me requesting a custom paint scheme from the company that I would be the only one with that design.
I see that idea is now out the window. Check out what I just saw on ebay (#270382889051). That is my set of fairings in the picture, that I now have in hand.
I know that it is mine because I specifically requested no logo stickers to be put on so that I could do my own later (Citation10 we need to talk).
Oh well, looks like I might not be the only one out there with this. At least I can take solace in knowing that I started it.

It's not really my design, it was their design on a different bike (CBR I think), I just had them make it for my 636.
I'm alright with it though, I still don't think that I will really see anyone with this in my neck of the woods.
I was going to wait a little before I started installing this, but I have gotten far too excited. I'm looking to get my tank painted next week, and then I am going away on business. Once I get back, I should have it mounted, so I'll have much more feedback.
