Ok...More Pipe Advice - Be patient

One question - What do y'all think of Jardine - and I guess its the RT1 - Weight, power increase and most important to me - Bad ass annoying sound to piss off people? Loudest high rev pipe you know of or not?

All I see is Akra, LV, Yosh, 2 Bros.

Your feedback is appreciated

looks good. a little heavier than akra and LV. Power gains with any slip-on is minimal. They sound pretty good. definitely not the loudest I've heard. Pinebox is the loudest by far. I'd put the RT1 right between the yosh and 2 bros...

the LV for the 07-08 is actually really loud with the baffle out. really quit with the baffle in though. It does take a while to break it in though. Mine finally broke in. It's one of the only pipes that has hurt my ears when standing 10' behind it. True, just having a slip-on with the cat is going to be a little quiter.

Yah i'll do that....Pine box

That PCIII - power commander? what does it do for your bike - is it related to having a diff pipe?
Also are the slip on pipes easy to do your self as well or should I take it in?

a power commander is a piggy back fuel management system. It's a good idea to have one with a stock or mod bike. slip-ons are super easy to install. should only take about 30-45 minutes if you don't run into any problems

A power commander is not really needed with a slip on but i would suggest one..Even with stock exhaust it can help a lil bit..Remember any time you change the engine components such as air filter, pipes(slip on or full system)cams ect yer changeing the air/fuel ratio to some extent..Now thats where a power commander can make up for the difference..
Next, remember that most likely somewhere on the net you can find a map for yer exhaust just remember its generic and not specific to your bike..Elevation,temp,air dampness can make differences in your performance as well so its best if affordable is to have "your" bike dynoed and mapped..

I have only generalized this info but im sure you get my point..As to what pipe if you havent picked it out is to just watch the threads of this site and others as to what offers you the most for what you can afford..Most slip on exhaust are gonna get ya 3-5 hp and maybe a lb of torque or so..The mapping is also a big key to the power increase and you will also notice a chrisper throttle responce..

i recommend yoshimura for an overall tame, deep, smooth sound. akrapovic for the max horsepower. and two brothers for super loud. never actually heard the pine box butt hey look really nice and they're made by and individual on this board and im all for supporting small businesses.
