Would you buy this wrecked bike? *650

Title is clear and it runs. Brake lines are good, calipers appear to work, wheel is bent, forks are bent. Frame looks good, missing a seat(guy bought the wrong one), everything else looks good. Radiator is good, and the crankcase cover needs to be replaced. What's it worth? 06 with 8k miles.

Whats the deal with this odd model anyway? I was suprised to see it wasn't an I4. Are they torquey since they're only 2 cylinders? 11k redline and 71hp? why does that sound so weak to me? Is it more comparable to an sv650?

So if it were less than 1k it would be worth the money? I'm thinking yeah no problem, even if I had to part it out.

Also I like naked/street fighters so I don't necessarily have to have all the plastics.

being that you're missing the forks and front end i would think you'd get more by selling it as a whole for however much you could get.

a friend of mine's got one, they are comfy and not too bad on acceleration; they can get up on one with little effort - cheap street fighter sounds like a good idea.

my 2 co-workers have a sv650 2001 and a 06 650r.

i must say, the SV650 pulls harder then the 650r.
they both have slip-ons both stock gearing.

but for the price. i wouldnt mind that 650r

I guess if it is cheap enough, anything could be considered a good deal, but I would be concerned that the frame is NOT good, since determining that is usually tough just by eyeballing it.

I actually paid for it last night in full, $400 ;) Thats why I thought it was pretty much a slam dunk. I asked if it were worth a little less than 1k because if I were to sell it off I wouldn't try for top dollar, just try to make some money. There's 85% chance that I'll be keeping it no matter what though.

However, if the frame were bent I wouldn't lose any money.

picked it up today. After getting power to it I found out it only has 4500miles :) Started up with just a tap of the starter and runs like a champ. Damn thing is loud

mocked up a couple parts to get an idea of what it will look like albeit many are damaged. Already ordered left upper and rear plastic. The lowers are actually in really good shape. Need to find a set of pipe fork inners or a whole set of forks for cheap now.

Thanks btw!

Here is a pic of the bike with the windscreen and seat amongg other things.

New bars and shit should go on as soon as I get some new grips to match the bike(hopefully I'll find a place Sunday that has what I need).
