raced a new triumph

I got a chance to race a new triumph daytona 675 tripple.
we didn't get to go very far but we started from about 30 mph (me in first gear). We were somewhat even for a second then I started pulling him pretty good on top end. Into second I had him pretty bad imo.

Had to let off as we were running out of real estate.

It was a nice bike. I really like it. That 3 cylinder did sound a little strange after being used to hearing either a V twin or inline 4 sport bikes. It had a slip on exhaust I think.

My roommate has a 675 triple and he thinks its a bad motha!! Newsflash!!! Its not. They are pretty torquey bikes, but my 06 636 eats em in the top end. I outweigh my roommate by bout 50 lbs and I'm still stompin a muddhole in his A**. If anyone ever tells you a 675 will beat our ninja's, race em and I bet they don't say it again. Nice victory btw!

daytona 675

Don't get me wrong....I loved the look of that bike.
It was black and had gold anodized wheels, chain, sprokets.

It had a strange exhaust sound (3 cylinder).

I have never rode one, but It looked great.

One of our guys has 2 trumpets.
He bought the 1st 675 and crashed it.
So naturally he bought another one just like it.

Not much damage on the 1st one so now that's his track bike.
Some people have just too much extra money.

I had an 07 675. It was a great street bike but sucked ass on the track. It really lacked top end. I got a 05zx6r and am MUCH happier now.

I find it hard to believe that a ZX6 can take a Daytona 675 in a roll on 1st thru 3rd gears.... My track only Formula Extreme 2006 ZX 600RR gets smoked by my somewhat stock 675 on the track in the low end sooooooooo hmmmmmmm.....Top end maybe roll ons....

A zx600RR is a different bike than a 636 btw. 600RR's, from what I've heard don't have near the low end power as the 636's. Just what I've heard, and my roomy has a 675 Daytona. I think they are uncomfortable as hell. My 636 wasted it from a stop and then again from a role several times just to make sure it wasn't driver error.

Wow, that rider must have been absolutely inexperienced. i rode a 675, it couldnt do what my bike does down the back straight, but i would outrun a ninja in any circumstance.

Further proof that the riders on this forum have no idea what they are doing, the 675 sux on the street because the suspension is entirely track tuned. if you said it fell behind on the street i would only think you were mostly retarded, but you have proven to be absolutely retarded.

Next time you think to open your mouth, dont

i love my bike and talking about it. in fact i can go on to a sportbike forum (not a ninja specific one) and no get laughed off the site.

Im just performing a public service, hopefully one of you guys will grow a pair and become a respectable member of the sportbike community.

Not to mention i gotta stand up for the triple, though it is not a R1 it is still a hell of a lot more bike than your little girls machine.
