Looks like the 2 wheel forums are all covered as it's spreading to the 4 wheelers now

now live and sniggering on www.seatcupra.net where some us have bikes too

i would insert some smartass mickey take but to be honest i'd rather keep it simple and say 'unlucky'

talking of drilling the fuel tank - too late - that one's been done already ;)

SportRider beat me here to represent fz6-forum.com. We are all wishing a speedy recovery and thanking you for the comedy that has filled our day.

I'm sure there are plenty of visitors, but add SC to your stats!

Checking in from the Pacific Northwest and linesthemovie.com.

If you can't get the ECU issue resolved, I have a nice '06 Daytona 675 for sale. Only condition of the sale...do not allow said acquaintance to come near this nice piece of British engineering

Congrats on making it across the globe in record time...is your friend any relation to this guy:

Hehehe.

http://ratbike.org/ here. Our bikes may be shite, but our ECU's aren't made of swiss cheese.

Oh, and we can probably sell you a working motorcycle for less than the cost of a new ECU.

You can't drill through points ignition. Well, you can, but it's a smaller target!

The Guzzisti are debating the virtues of wirenuts vs. spackling paste for this particular application. Will get back to you shortly.

Seriously. Set up a paypal account. The non-stop gut laughing I've been experiencing all day is easily worth $5.

Lumian you're priceless

Lumian you made my day, not that I haven't done anything boneheaded on the odd occasion, but I didn't use the 'net to bother others about it...

Checking in here for the first time... referenced from a certain BMW riders forum which shall remain nameless... and from the little tiny island of Oahu, State of Hawaii, USA... 3,000 miles from just about anywhere... and hopefully safe from yer pal with the rogue drill.

Y'know, I worked for a time as a wrenchbender on a couple drilling rigs doing soils exploration prior to building large structures like high rise hotels and the like... we got a solution for you...square through that FI light...
