What a difference... (W/PICS!!!)
I just installed my BMC race air filter, PC3, and Pinebox exhaust, and I don't think at this point I could be much happier!!! The Pinebox sounds and looks amazing! The performance increase was alot more than I expected, considering I still have that damn exhaust choking cat... but that will be gone soon enough, and hopefully I will have even better performance, but I wont be getting that done until I can setup a time to get a custom tuned map for the PC3... Anyway, back to the point... I was getting compliments everywhere I went last night, and the bike is definitely, noticeably faster and smoother, than it has ever been. And just as a side-note to anyone thinking of purchasing the Pinebox for their 07-08 ZX-6R, DO NOT HESITATE!!! IT sounds great, and the fit and finish are amazing, Dave gets my compliments, he built a very good product!!!

Careful of the excitement level....Just the sound alone can trick yer brain into thinkin yer mods made a power increase

yeah can't wait to see the pic either, i was contemplating the pinebox also it sounds and looks great on youtube and their website. i've been researching the pinebox for a couple of weeks now, question is do i need to have the PCIII for it not to mess my bike up? i want them both but it's one at a time with my government paycheck, so which should i get first?

You should get the pc3 but you could probably run without it, the catalytic converter should create enough back-pressure to stop your valves from burning out (I personally wouldn't rely on a probably!). Although, if you order the pinebox now, it will take a couple months to get it, so in the meantime you could get the PC3...
On another note the storm has passed and it is beautiful outside so I am gonna go get som pics to post...be back in a while!!!

That stock Kawi muffler that comes on our zx6r's for '07-08, is a reverse flow design.
That is the worst design for exhaust flow there is. The exhaust actually enters the front of the muffler-goes through a tuning tube into the rear, back to the middle then out the tips. Good for noise control but the exhaust has to make 90 degree turn arounds all the way through.
Plus the butterfly valve is there for more noise control and to smooth out exhaust pulses for emission control efficiency.
Gut that cat and it will help a little more. Be sure when the cat gets removed you will notice more exhaust volume. There is a pre-chamber tuning tube in the rear of the cat shell that silences the exhaust as well.
I did the jumper mod and loaded a "european map" from power commander. Since the jumper mod puts the spark tables to European spec, I figured that map would work better. No complaints, bike is faster now.

cyber i got what you said but crazyninja, you totally freakin lost me...hahaha...i'm not the type that can read stuff like that and process it so don't get discouraged...from what your saying it sounds like i also need to perform the jumper mod, gut/remove the cat, and load the euro map on the PC3....now are you talking about doing this on the sub muffler under the belly of the bike with the pinebox installed, or is this just a mod on the can under the tail without getting the pinebox.....sorry i'ma little slow i just woke up

Thanx everyone for your input, it has been almost a week now and I am still very happy with the install, although I don't think my neighbors are very fond when I start the bike at 5:15 in the morning to go to work...;) they'll get over it!!!
