1999 zx6r choke problem
After passing my test 4 weeks ago and riding around on a Aprilia pegaso I decided to purchase a zx6r after test riding my friends one. I picked it up today and rode it home in the pouring rain round the M25, it was a scarey expirence to say the least but got it home and give it another going over where I noticed that the choke is not operating correctly.
If I put the choke fully on and try and start it it just wont start. If I turn it off and start it it starts no problem. If I start it and rev the engine a bit and hold it then slide the choke on a bit it will rev at about 2k on its own but slowly full back to about 1k + or - ish even with the choke on. It rides spot on as far as I can tell so far but not had the weather to take it out and give it a blast yet due to the rain.
I would be grateful if someone could give me any ideas where to start with this problem
