Hid

I got this message from a seller on ebay:

We have processed the refund for you and will send you out the remaining pieces to our agreement next week. What is the color and bulb you have for your present 6R, we need this info so we do not send you out the wrong HID.

Is he just asking what color i want them to be? or do i need to know my current color. My current bulbs are not HID and are stock. Also what would be the best color to get without sacrificing to much light or brightness?

That's why you don't order HID's on Egay. Ask for 10,000K. It will look sweet.

complete kits are available for 88.00 + shipping. was that the value you received?
i had an 8000k kit for the last 2 years. i blew a ballast. instead of buying a new ballast, i just bought a new kit for the above price. This time i went with 6000k bulbs. They are brighter/whiter than the 8000k. i would think 10000k would be very blue.

06 zx10r uses h-9 and h-11. I got 2 h-9s. I just had to break out the dremmel and take off about 1/16" off a tab to fit the projector housing. I'm happy, though. I paid 140.00 for the last one and that was a steal 2 years ago.

Look in you manual to see which bulbs your bike uses. It's just a socket fit thing.

Don't forget. The higher the number is in the k range, i.e 6,000k, 10,000k, the lower the beam will be. The lower the HID K number, the brighter the bulb and the more light output you get. Alot of people think it is reveresed. 10,000K is a little steep in lumens, like someone stated earlier your light will be a purplish blue. it will loook cool, but you will not be able to see very far or clearly. 6,000k is usually optimal. Anything over I would not recommend only for your safety. And that's what it's all about.

I got a set of HID's for my 03 zx6RR about a month ago.

I got 2 H7 bulbs. Mine are 8000k, they have a bluish tint, I love em.
