Newdie....Performance Help!!!
Ok...I have a 2004 zx6r 636 and when I first started riding I did not wanna wheelie so I lowered my bike so it really wouldn't come up...But of course now that im comfortable on my bike I wanna wheelie but since its lowered I have to get my rpms up to like 14000 jus to get the tire off the ground...Are there any performance mods that I can make so I dont have to raise my bike back up cause I like how it looks lowered?...

Also I would like to get the most I can out of my bike performance wise so what other performance mods can I make?

Smaller front and larger rear sprockets will make the biggest difference.
-1 front and +2 rear is a good starting point.

About how much should these mods cost me and can I install them myself or do I need to go to a shop?
Did you have your bike lowered without the PC and still get it up? My bike is pretty lite so I think I should still be able to get it up with it jus being lowered so im gonna start trying to pop the clutch a lil to get it up.

if you're running a full system you will need the PCIII more than anything else. retail is $349. you can find it on ebay for cheaper. get the bike running properly before you start with more mods

k&n filter runs about 50.00, pc if u check around probly between 200-250.00 shipped, sprockets around 70.00 for the front and back, bike was lowered when pc wa installed so as the gearing, filter and exhaust, u shouldnt have to use the clutch bro these bikes make enough torque and power u dont have to

This is by far the easiest way to go about it.....if you just want to be able to bring it up. The other ideas will add performance and obviuosly will not hurt.

if your now comfortable on your bike... why is it still lowered?... you did say that that was your reasoning behind it.... right?..
or did it have something to do with ride height? i have friends that are shorter and lower their bikes so that their feet get better contact with the ground with their feet while stopped.. is that part of it for you as well?.. i guess i've never heard of anyone lowering it to avoid wheelies..
save a buck... raise it back up.. that bike will wheelie stock.. if you can't get it up?.. well practice the wheelies first... why bother spending all that money on a bike that should do it as is?...
i mean i like mod's on my bike... but the mod's are for speed, sound, performance, and looks... a ninja 250 can wheelie stock for christ sakes... you just have to know how to wheelie... trust me.. that bike should pull that wheel up as is at stock settings... practice man...
i have nothing against performance mod's.. love 'em... but if you're learning how to throw the front in the air.. i would do that first... hate to see ya mess up the new expensive stuff while learning stunt trickery...

I lowered my bike because I like the way it looks lowered and keeping the front wheel down was jus a plus for when I first started riding. I like mods on my bike so it looks different. Im gonna get a PCIII, K&N Filter, and go -1/+2.
What should these mods bring my 1/4 mile time down to?
