Kinda Pissed at the shop...

Well I ended up with a nail or 2 in the rear last week thanks to construction at my now ex-job. I bought a tire and took it to the shop to be mounted and balanced. They put everything on for me and then just left it so that the chain could touch eachother if I squeezed with my hand close to the rear sprocket. Needless to say before I figured that out, I was questioning why I felt a hopping or skipping as I thought it was the tire being new'ish... After install they said hey take it easy for like a hundred miles... so of course my ass hits the highway and puts around 140 miles on it that day. Next day took it to work and on my way home I wrenched back the throttle and that started the skippin sensation on the bike. I decided I would stop at home to check it myself and when I got around my driveway leaning into the turn my chain hopped off and down I went, breaking off my mirror, and scratching up my immaculate bike... so now its not so immaculate... time to order new lower casing, and getting the handle grip mirror. and mirror eliminators for the stockies. Just thought I'd vent about how my bike was downed thanks to the shop not doin there job right and me being too trusting of their work. Yes I understand I was negligent to not check everything over but I kinda figured hey I paid so much they'd do me right. I was wrong stupid aren't I

Kinda pissed?
I would be extremely pissed. You really shouldn't have to check their work but don't forget, your paying $100/hr shop labor and a $10/hr mech. That's just an exaggeration but you get the point.
You're lucky you didn't get seriously hurt. Tell the shop that.
I had a similar situation involving a car I brought in for transmission warranty work. A week later the left front axle came apart. The dealer denied any wrongdoing. I think they learned some new cuss words that day.
